The Role & Expectations
As a ship steward, you keep the ship clean and make sure passengers are comfortable. You'll clean cabins, tidy up lounges and dining rooms, and make sure everything is stocked and ready. You'll also help passengers with questions and let crew know if something needs fixing.
You'll work as part of a crew that all depends on each other. Yes, you'll be away from home for weeks at a time, but many stewards enjoy the travel and the chance to make friends from different countries. You'll learn how to work in a team, solve problems quickly, and keep things running even when things are busy or difficult.
