Is this the only route?
This is the standard academic trajectory, but modern careers are highly flexible. You can often skip stages by entering the industry with an advanced qualification (like a Master's or PhD), or pivot sideways from a related discipline.
University Degree
Usually 3 to 4 years of full-time academic study, explicitly preparing you for the theoretical realities of the industry.
Junior Body Piercer
As a junior body piercer, you will assist experienced piercers, learn the basics of piercing techniques, and gain hands-on experience in a professional setting.
Mid-Level Body Piercer
In this role, you will independently perform a variety of piercings, manage client consultations, and contribute to the studio's marketing efforts.
Senior Body Piercer
As a senior body piercer, you will lead a team, mentor junior staff, and may also offer workshops or training sessions for aspiring piercers.
