The Role & Expectations
As a climate change analyst, you work with numbers and research to understand climate patterns and predict what the future might look like. You gather data on temperature, rainfall, air pollution and how humans affect the planet, then use computer models to spot trends and answer important questions. For example, you might predict how high sea levels could rise, or which areas might face droughts or floods.
Your work includes reading scientific studies, building computer models, and writing reports that help decision-makers in government and business understand what is at stake. You will meet with teams from different organisations to work out solutions. The work can be frustrating because you often see bad news in the data, and it is not always easy to get people to act on what you find. But your work helps protect the planet for future generations.
Daily Responsibilities
