The Role & Expectations
The work is checking tickets, directing people to seats and exits, answering questions, watching for problems and helping out in an emergency. Staying calm, being approachable and following safety procedures matter, since you are there to keep large crowds safe as well as helpful and welcoming.
The work is casual and shift-based, often evenings, weekends and event days, outdoors in all weathers, and on your feet for long stretches. Pay is usually around the minimum wage, and the hours fit well around studies or other jobs.
You can often start with little or no experience and get basic training on the day or beforehand, including safety and crowd-management briefings. Some roles, especially those closer to security duties, may need an SIA licence, so check what each job requires.
Daily Responsibilities
