The Role & Expectations
The work is greeting customers, explaining phones and tariffs, making sales, setting up devices, transferring data and helping with problems and contracts. Good people skills, patience and a comfort with technology matter, along with the resilience to handle targets and customers who are sometimes frustrated with their phone or bill.
The work is on the shop floor, often including weekends and some evenings, with pay usually around the minimum wage plus possible commission on sales. It can be busy and target-driven, but it is a sociable role with real customer service and tech experience.
No qualifications are needed and you are trained on the job on the products and systems. It is a common retail entry job, and experience can lead to supervisor or store manager roles.
