The Role & Expectations
As a recruitment agency manager or owner, you are at the centre of connecting people with the right jobs. You might run the whole business or lead a team of recruitment consultants. Your job is to understand what businesses need (the type of worker, the skills, the salary), match that with the right candidates, and make sure both sides are happy with the choice.
Your week involves talking to businesses about their hiring needs, coaching your team to find and interview good candidates, checking that the people you place stay in their jobs and do well, and keeping track of which types of jobs are in demand so you know what to look for. You manage the money side of the business, set targets for your team, and build a reputation for placing the right person in the right role every time.
